March 2nd, 2018, Workshop to ‘WeRISE’ volunteers, Sau Po Centre on Ageing, HKU, HK

In this workshop, we trained around 50 volunteers as part of the ‘WeRISE’ programme and taught them the basics about stroke including the causes of stroke, its treatment, complications and how it could be prevented. Volunteers were also taught how to perform home blood pressure monitoring. These volunteers, will be reaching out to the community then, via a number of non-government organisations, reach out to the community, to help support stroke patients and their caregivers.
