"WeRISE" App: a one-stop solution for stroke survivors and care givers
The road to recovery is never easy for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Stroke survivors will need to optimise their risk factors to prevent the risk of another stroke and the burden on caregivers can be significant.
The "WeRISE" App is a tailor-made App for stroke survivors and their caregivers which aims to assist in the management of stroke risk factors to reduce the risk of another stroke, provide up-to-date information about stroke, and also to relieve caregiver stress.
The "WeRISE" App will be launched soon. Please register via the link below to get the latest update on the "WeRISE" App:

Taking Care of Stroke Survivors
As a stroke caregiver, taking care of stroke survivors is not easy and often very stressful. We helped launch the ‘WeRISE’ programme, initiated by Sau Po Centre on Ageing, HKU, which aims to empower stroke families via a number of interventions. Details about ‘WeRISE’ can be found at we-rise.hku.hk.
As part of WeRISE, we have compiled a number of educational booklets and videos to help you understand more about stroke and how to best take care of your family member. Click here for more information.
We have also compiled a more detailed 6-hour online certified eLearning course (free of charge) on taking care of stroke patients which can be accessed here.
Caregivers of stroke patients often are unaware of the services in the community available for stroke patients. Access a simple overview of the range of community services with a brief description of each to help you decide which service suits the patient best here:
