About Yingqi

I was curious about natural science since I was a little boy. Motivated by that, I began my study in HKU as an undergraduate student in September 2018, and I was majoring in physics. In the final year of my undergraduate career, I conducted my final-year research project related to graphene's optical contrast under the supervision of Dr. Ki Dong-Keun. In September 2022, I continued my academic journey in HKU by joining the newly launched physics MSc programme. During my master's degree, I completed a capstone project titled "Construction of a white-light interferometer for thickness determination of thin crystals". Now, I have changed my research interest from physical optics to energy harvesting. Apart from doing research, I'm keen on swimming, playing chess, watching movies, and travelling around the world.
