About Yihong

Yihong was born in Taizhou, Zhejiang, China. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering in mechanical design and manufacturing & automatization from Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2023. During her undergraduate years, she participated in “Internet+”, “Challenge Cup” and other university competitions and won national awards. She also took part in several robotics projects on and off campus. Then, she obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2024. During her postgraduate studies, she completed her dissertation project on energy harvesting in Dr Shin's lab. She decided to pursue this research further. Outside the lab, she enjoys playing football.
