About Jingyi
Jingyi was born and raised in Harbin, China. She received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2015 from Tongji University. In the last semester of 2015, she conducted her final year project on the cellular traction force as an exchange student in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Back at Tongji, she carried out her master’s thesis in the lab of Jianzhong Du focusing on the design and synthesis of polymersomes for biomedical applications. After graduation in 2018, she joined an electric vehicle company. This experience inspired her to pursue further research in batteries. Then, she decided to continue her study at the University of Hongkong. Outside the lab, she enjoys music, badminton, riding, and traveling. She is the recipient of the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship and HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship.
