About Haoyu

Haoyu is from Taiyuan, Shanxi, China. He received his B.Sc in chemistry and MASc. in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2020 and 2023. His undergraduate research experience was about solar cells and lab-on-a-chip biomedical devices. His graduate study focused on organic semiconductor material for organic thin film transistor (OTFT) and sensor applications. He likes doing research, and he is interested in developing new materials for new energy, such as batteries. So, He decided to come to the hku and join Dr. Shin’s lab to learn and contribute more. Outside the lab, He likes workout in the gym, playing basketball, and playing piano.
